Goulash is such a satisfying cold weather dish; slow-cooked beef stew, heavy with paprika, and tangy sour cream added at the end to add to the richness of the stew.  Always trying to make any dish a little healthier, this year I substituted the usual buttered egg noodles with Mochi Barley and my family was so happy with the result! It added such a great texture, and since I toasted it first, it also added a nutty depth of flavor to the dish.I can not wait to make this slow cooker Hungarian Goulash with a healthy twist again.
